Lake George Hotels
Most Lake George hotels are rated 2 and 3 stars and provide comfortable, cute accommodations, without luxury. They'll usually provide a free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, an outdoor pool and, most of the time, an indoor pool as well. Friendly service is the norm!
The majority of hotels in Lake George are located close to the village, on the main road. Some are very close to the village center, but normally you will have to drive 5 to 10 minutes to get there. Some are at a walkable distance to restaurants and attractions and others are not. Depending on the type of vacations you expect, check carefully the location before your reserve.

Lake George being a very popular destination during summer, rooms will become quite expensive. This will affect the rating or value you give the hotel. You may easily pay 200$ for a standard room when staying in the village and this will not get you a 5 stars resort, especially if you go during high season. Keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed.

Located off the main street about a mile from beaches and the center of the village, the hotel Wingate by Wyndham has very good reviews: clean and modern room, great service, good location.
Pools - indoor and outdoor - are appreciated, but maybe they could improve a little bit on the free breakfast...
The Holiday Inn Resort is located on the southern part of the village. Close enough to walk to some restaurants and attractions, you won't be right in the middle of the action. This resort has great reviews and I must say I love their set up.
The view from the street is very welcoming and the pool and patio area is one of the, if not THE, biggest in Lake George village. With playgrounds, lot of space, lots of chairs to lay down, a basketball court and more, it's a great spot for family vacations.
The Georgian Lakeside Resort has one of the best location in Lake George village. Literally one block away for the park and a few minutes' walk from most restaurants, this hotel will satisfy most of you.
This hotel may be a bit outdated and the words "hotel resort" may be somewhat misleading (this is a 2.5 stars resort), most people seems to be satisfied by their stay at the Georgian Lakeside Resort. I've stayed there a few years ago and I must say I enjoyed it and loved the location.
With one of the best location of all the Lake George hotels, Marine Village Resort is a very good choice. The pool area overlooks the lake, something you won't find often here.
Reviews are good, but remember this is a 3 stars hotel, not a 5 stars resort. I definitely recommend to try this place once!
The Fort William Henry hotel sits at the corner of the two main streets of Lake George village. Located on an historic location, it offers three type of room to fit most budgets.
With on-site restaurants, great location and a beautiful view, it is a popular place for weddings.
The Quality Inn Lake George is a great choice. Reviews are very good, it is well located just south of the center of the village, not far from the beaches. The set up is cute with balconies overlooking the pool. All in all, a great choice for a weekend getaway!
The Best Western of Lake George is located near the i87 exit, south of the village. It has decent reviews but seems that, depending in which building you stay, the rooms could be a bit outdated.
Otherwise, people seems to appreciate their stay. If you want to be in the action, you might want to stay closer to the village, because you'll have to take your car to get to most attractions and restaurants. It may be a good choice for a quick stop-over or if you don't mind to be away from the village center.
Tiki Resort is a themed Lake George hotel located right on the main street of the village. With a cute/kitsch look, you may find that rooms are a bit outdated and have thin walls.
With a restaurant, a pool, diner shows and the fact that it is close to main attractions, the fort and the beaches, the Tiki Resort is to be considered for a Lake George vacation.
Tahoe Resort is located about a mile north of the village in a beautiful location. Adjacent to a beach, make sure you reserve a lakeview room. Forget about walking to the village though, you will have to take your car to get to Lake George village.
Reviews are mixed about Tahoe Resort, mostly due to the fact that the hotel is outdated. May be a good choice for the right price, but do not expect anything new nor nothing near a five stars hotel.
Part of a hotels chain of the same name, the Americas Best Value Inn Lake George is well located just north of the center of the village. This hotel have excellent reviews and is close enough to everything so that you can leave your car at the door for your whole stay if you want.
The Hampton Inn & Suites is a good choice for a few days in town. While this hotel could be a bit closer to the center of the village, it is quieter than other hotels in Lake George. Review are very good and people are satisfied, but it can get a bit pricey during high season.
The comfort suites is located outside of the village, near the outlets. With restaurants, bars and shopping just around the corner, it may be a good choice if you're looking to get around by car, but not if you are looking to be near the beaches.
